Our Opportunity
We are currently looking for Materials Field Technicians with a variety of experience levels for project work based in Prince George and across Northern BC. You will conduct a wide variety of laboratory and field testing on aggregate, soils, concrete and asphalt and perform quality control and quality assurance management, compaction and monitoring. This role executes and may coordinate field testing activities and works primarily within a small crew to provide quality control management on small to medium sized projects. You will collect, prepare and review field notes and relate data to clients or direct supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- CCIL certification is preferred
- Experience and certification in the use of a nuclear densometer is an asset
- Excellent communication skills and analytical abilities
- Technical competence and attention to detail
- Ability to work a variety of shifts is required and willingness to work in remote sites for extended periods of time
- A high level of dependability
- Preference will be given to candidates local to the Prince George region (e.g. Quesnel, Williams Lake, Vanderhoof)
- A valid driver’s license is required
