Inside Sales Manager

Kenilworth Media is looking for an experienced Inside Sales Manager to coach, motivate and train a team of 3-5 successful sales people, while actively selling on a territory of his/her own.

As a successful candidate, you will be a results-oriented sales professional who can motivate, develop and coach your sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets. You are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with a high business acumen and experience being a true mentor and trainer. You project high energy, enthusiasm, the desire to succeed, and have proven success in motivating others with the goal of maximizing revenue.


Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing, maintaining, cultivating & expanding a portfolio of high profile clients, agencies, and top business leaders to foster future revenue.
  • Developing, planning & executing successful advertising campaigns (both print and digital) by determining the most appropriate sales approach & negotiating competitive advertising rates with clients/agencies.
  • Designing sales aids and promotional material for the sales force to use. This includes anything from personal letters/e-mails, proposals and PowerPoint presentations, to preparing e-mail promo pieces; this will require collaboration with various departments in order to create comprehensive programs.
  • Responsible for interviewing, training, managing & leading a small team of account managers towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. This includes motivating team members, identifying training needs & career development.
  • Managing the day-to-day operational tasks of your team to generate the promotion, research and data necessary to make advertising sales happen.
  • Representing our brands at industry events & conferences (this may include travel, as well as working the occasional weekend and/or evening.)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience making outbound calls to generate sales with both small-to-medium-sized businesses and large multi-nationals with agencies.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of sales people.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • A positive, committed & self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic that allows for working independently with minimal direction and inspiring others to bring their best work forward.
  • Highly computer literate with a demonstrated understanding of the digital world (both desktop and mobile platforms), MS Office, database management programs & contact management software. Familiarity with Maximizer is an asset.
  • A passion for finding solutions to the unique challenges of selling advertising in an ever-changing media landscape.
