Assignment Producer (CBC North) - IQA00085 Canada

 As an Assignment Producer, your primary focus is to plan, conceive, organize, and develop the production and realization of news programming for on-line, radio and television at CBC in Nunavut.  You are responsible for ensuring that work adheres to CBC journalistic and/or program policies, standards and practices.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

• University degree in journalism or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Relevant journalistic experience in on-line, radio and TV news
• Proficiency with radio production and presentation technologies; knowledge of TV and digital media production and presentation technologies would be an asset
• Knowledge of, and interest in, the culture and politics of Inuit and the north
• Computer skills
• Creative mind
• Ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven leadership, mentoring and coaching abilities
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent interpersonal relations
